Eva B. Gustafson is from Washington, DC. Her father is American and her mother is Vietnamese. She was born in Thailand and was raised in several different countries, including Burma (Myanmar), Benin, Burundi, and the United States. She began studying art as an undergraduate student at the University of North Texas, but ultimately obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2001, she earned a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas. She returned to life overseas after marrying her husband, Jeremy, a Foreign Service Officer. With Jeremy and her two sons she has lived in Egypt, India, and the Philippines. She currently lives in Germany.
